Neutron Science Laboratory (NSL), the Institute for Solid State Physics, the University of Tokyo is committed to protecting all user’s personal information and comply with the law in accordance with the following privacy policy determined by the University of Tokyo.

1. Collection of personal information
NSL will collect the personal information by the stated appropriate method.
2. Purpose of use
NSL will only use the personal information as necessary for the administration work for the user-program in the University of Tokyo and the use of the facility in Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA).
The name and affiliation of principle investigator and the title of the proposal expressed in Activity reports may be opened on websites and publications of the University of Tokyo and JAEA.

NSL will execute the safety measures necessary to control the reserved personal information appropriately: the construction of the maintenance and control methods for the security system to prevent the leakage, damage, vanishment of the information and to ensure its safety, access restrictions, and training for person who treats the personal information.
4. Disclosure for the third person
NSL will neither disclose nor provide the personal information to the third person unless it is required to disclose based on applicable laws and regulations.
5. Entrustment
When NSL entructs the personal information to the contract partner, it will manage an appropriate administration under reaching an agreement with the user.

NSL may modify this privacy policy without notification when it is judged that this policy is required to revise due to any changes or reviews in low and regulations.
8. Compliance with laws and other regulations
While outside of the scope of the adequacy decision based on Article 45 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the University of Tokyo will strictly adhere to laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information, as well as strive to improve this policy by continually reviewing its contents.
